Compassion Family formed in 1995. Lol was full of punk attitude but found himself immersed in the rave culture which took him to India & Goa in 1990. Ed was a head banger turned on to electronic music via Ozrics & Eat Static. Ed & Lol had already played in punk bands together & now drug-fuelled & minds exploding with ideas, decided to form Compassion Family. A fully fledged techno experience.

Early tracks like Steady Wisdom & Psychopathic Journey became popular tracks in Goa & on the underground party scene - finding favour with people like Youth, Tsuyoshi Suzuki, Mark Allen and  Chrisbo to name but a few.

The first 12” E.P was released in Inter 1 Records in 1996 followed by some tracks on compilations. Some great live performances followed at Heaven / Megatropolis , R.T.T.S and The Fridge etc... Another 12” E.P was released in 1999 - the Dancing Whores E.P on Full Moon Records. Lol started Greedy Dig in 2000 to release Compassion Family stuff & stuff by his new more abstract alter ego - Liquid Chaos.

Compassion Family have been quiet since 2000 - releasing stuff through Greedy Dig to be slowly discovered through connections & chance encounters by the people who are meant to find it. A million miles away from the throw away dance pop & bullshit of greedy record companies.
